If I Couldn’t Read or Write…Born to Read, a Twitter Chat
Following on from Monday’s post and to mark the end of Children’s Book Week I am hosting a Twitter Chat tomorrow from 1-2pm with Save the Children. I’m going to be talking about reading, learning to read, our favourite books, and trying to raise awareness of the Save the Children report findings and the Born to Read Programme. I’m hoping that lots of you will join in – or I’ll be talking to myself which, while not unusual, would look a little odd on this occasion!
This video shows how important reading is to children and it really made me think – what would my world be like without the written word?
Please join me and Save the Children tomorrow, Friday 11th October 2013, from 1 – 2pm (Hashtag #borntoread) to chat about all things reading and books!
What would your world be like without the written word? What would you miss most?
