This week I have mostly been cooking Christmas stuff and photographing it and I have had a LOVELY time! In between making fudge, baking cakes and rustling up a pie or two we’ve been making these! I’d love to see what you’ve been up to, do add your festive posts to the link at the bottom of this post.
They are a fabulous way to recycle last year’s Christmas cards – I’m a terrible hoarder and I can’t bear to throw beautiful cards away!
Recycled Christmas Card Craft
Simply stick two cards together with glue (contrasting cards make lovely decorations as they twirl) and allow to dry.
Cut out and add glitter where needed.
Use a sharpie marker to draw on eyes and wings as required.
Use a hole punch to make a hole at the top of your robin.
Thread with twine or ribbon and hang.
These little robins make lovely bunting too. Thread them intermittently onto a long string, tying knots on either side of them so they don’t fly down the line to chatter to each other!
We made these beauties in 2010, I can’t believe we’ve been crafting and blogging for such a long time! For full instructions, see here
So, tell me, what have you been up to? Old posts very welcome!
How Does Festive Friday Work?
Festive Friday is a weekly Linky for all things Christmas and runs from now until Boxing Day. There is no long list of requirements, it would be lovely and polite if you mentioned me in your post and gave me a little link – if you do I’ll give you a kiss under the mistletoe and share a glass of sherry or two, if you don’t I won’t poke you with the holly or snatch back the mince pies! Please link up any lovely Christmas posts, past or present and help me to build a resource for Christmas lovers everywhere! I also run a collaborative Festive Friday Pinterest Board and will be pinning all those who join in on a Friday (with a full credit and link of course!). Join in on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook with the #FestiveFriday hashtag. I will be doing regular round ups of my favourites both on my blog and across social media.
