When I started this blog in 2010 I had one child about to start school and three already well and truly there. Now Number One and Number Two have flown the nest and headed to Uni, Number Three is studying for A Levels and my youngest is 11 – how time flies!
My blog has taken me to places and to meet people I would never have dreamed of when I started it at the kitchen table all that time ago and it continues to surprise me:
I’ve driven a tractor in Somerset, ridden a motorbike in Africa and parked a self parking car at the Harry Potter Studios. I’ve thrown myself down zip wires and hung off the side of a 41 foot sailing boat travelling at speed to catch the perfect shot.
I’ve been a blogger ambassador for British Airways at the Olympics, I put the GoPro through its paces and I’ve reviewed everything from household appliances to cars and from holidays to ingredients for my vegetarian cookery.
I’ve been a finalist in blogger awards every year for the last four years, I’ve spoken at conferences in London and Austria, I’ve appeared on Woman’s Hour, Daybreak and The Politics Show. I’ve handed petitions into Downing Street, been invited to the House of Lords and to a private meeting with a Minister and Thinly Spread has been archived by the British Library, I am incredibly proud of that one!
As 2016 marches on you can expect to read generous handfuls of vegetarian and vegan recipes, crafty ideas and gardening tips as well as updates on our house renovations and ideas for days out and adentures of your own.
I hope you enjoy sharing bits of my life with me and that you will post a comment so I know you are out there!
