My first month hosting the Pasta Please blog link up went very well indeed! I was a little worried it would be just me looking all ‘Billy No Mates’ but food bloggers are a busy bunch and I had quite a few entries to tickle my tastebuds! So, without further ado, here is my round up of May’s Vegetarian Pasta Recipes for Pasta Please! If you’d like to join in next month just follow the instructions at the end of this post!
The Veghog marked Hedgehog Awareness week with these so sweet Hedgehog Porcini Ravioli – look, actual hedgehog shaped pasta!
The Veg Space’s Spelt Spaghetti with Avocado Pesto is going to be a massive hit with my vegan boy when he comes home from Uni for the summer in the next week or two – he’s totally addicted to avocado, as am I!
Avocado pops up again, this time with Cold Sesame Cucumber Noodles over at The Taste Space! She has been reviewing The Love and Lemons Cookbook written by Jeanine and Jack of the Love & Lemons blog and it sounds right up my street!
Everyday Healthy Recipes’ Baked Aubergine and Pepper Pasta Sauce with Smoked Paprika had me licking my lips in anticipation – I love smoked paprika and have been popping it into everything I can!
Shaheen at Allotment2Kitchen offered up a delicious taste of the sea with her Seaweed Spaghetti Pasta – you can imagine how well that would go down here – definitely one for the boat this summer!
I’ve loved Green Gourmet Giraffe’s wonderful blog for so long that I may have squealed when I saw that she had joined Pasta Please with her fabulous Pasta with Pumpkin, Omelette and Parmesan – all vegan! I can’t wait to have a go at this one!
Choclette at Tin and Thyme really pushed the boat out with her creation! A spot of foraging on the North Cornish coast path resulted in a nice haul of rock samphire and her imagination was sparked – Samurai Samphire Noodles with Miso Marinated Tofu was the result! WOW!
Anukampa’s Indian take on Kids Macaroni has my tastebuds tingling in anticipation over on A Pinch Of Salt Make It All – mustard seeds and curry leaves with onions and tomato puree stirred into macaroni and garnished with roasted peanuts and mayonnaise would certainly be a hit with my spice lovers!
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy’s Mushroom Papparadelle with this beautiful Cavolo Nero makes a speedy supper after a busy day at work.
Planet Veggie can always be relied on to whip up something vegan and delicious – she served her Aubergine and Chickpea Penne with homemade vegan garlic bread!
Finally, my own contribution to May’s #PastaPlease – my Pea Pesto with Spaghetti which is a firm favourite and can be whipped up in moments!
If you love pasta and want to make all these vegetarian pasta recipes, why not pin this post for later?
I hope you enjoyed this lovely selection which just shows how varied and interesting vegetarian pasta recipes can be. If you are a reader come back next month to see what my fabulous contributors come up with next, if you are a blogger and you want to join in, here’s how!
Recipes must be suitable for vegetarians and I am particularly interested in any vegan offerings both for myself and my eldest boy. I will collate a roundup post at the end of the month and Jac and I will be promoting posts as we see them across social media.

Hi Chris, thank you for hosting and taking the time to comment on all entries. I’ll submit my next pasta dish as soon as I’ve cooked it:)
I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
These all look fab. I am totally in love with the hedgehog-shaped ravioli!
So am I Cathy, it’s gorgeous! It has me rooting around in my biscuit cutters drawer!
Lovely round up – what an interesting collection of pasta recipes – and thanks for your kind words about my blog! I am delighted to have no themes now for Pasta Please as it makes it so easy to participate and I really love inspiration to get me out of my pasta rut.
Thanks Johanna – I’m a big fan of the ‘no themes’ approach (although I may pop a seasonal one in now and then, don’t hate me!) 🙂
Thank you for the round up, what a lovely collection of recipes! And here’s already my June entry. 🙂
You are amazing VegHog, thank you!
Thanks Chris for including my Entry. What a lovely round up. Now am more than excited to be a part of next one. All set to think and create something wonderful.
Hoorah! Can’t wait to see what you come up with! 🙂
I’m now craving pasta and I’ll have one to link up this month!
Excellent! (Me too – but then I’m always craving pasta!)
Ah what fabulous entries Chris and there was you worrying you wouldn’t get any. The hedgehog pasta is so cute, but everything sounds delicious and get a big thumbs up from me. Thanks for hosting.
Thanks so much Choclette and thank you for your support, really appreciated! x
