After last month’s galloping start, this month’s Pasta Please is a little less frantic but no less delicious and I’m loving the variety of summer pasta recipes on offer, thank you so much to those of you who joined in!
The Veghog carried on her flowery theme from last month to offer us this absolutely gorgeous Pasta Salad with Oak Smoked Tomatoes. My Bonus Boy is growing purple basil on his windowsill and I have these very violas in my garden so this is top of my ‘to make’ list!
Green Gourmet Giraffe’s Vegan Lasagne with Cauliflower, Hummus and Tofu ‘Ricotta’ sounds very crowd pleasing and will go down well with my gigantic and always hungry vegan boy! It looks so summery on that gingham, don’t you think?!
Anything with mushrooms and cream gets my vote and Jac at Tinned Tomatoes has the perfect pasta for me with her Creamy Chestnut Mushroom and Fresh Herb Pasta Salad – excellent for a picnic too! Do pop over and have a read of Jac’s useful Picnic Pointers.
Last but very definitely not least this month, Family Friends Food has a tasty Asparagus Carbonara with Sun Dried Tomatoes – quick, run out and grab the last of the English asparagus and make this tonight!
I hope you enjoyed this lovely selection of summer pasta recipes which just shows how varied and interesting vegetarian food can be. Do come back next month to see what my fabulous contributors come up with next!
