I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to co-host a Twitter party to help raise awareness of the Give Up Clothes For Good campaign! A Twitter party for a good cause and I get to chat about clothes for an hour – perfect!

Don’t worry, I’m not organising a naked jamboree – my teen raised a questioning eyebrow when I mentioned we were Giving Up Clothes for Good! The Campaign, now in its fifth year, raises funds for Cancer Research UK‘s work into beating children’s cancers. Throughout April people can bag up their unwanted clothes and take them to TKMaxx stores throughout the land where they are sorted and then distributed to Cancer Research UK’s stores to be sold on.

Should I Stay or Should I Go Now?

The aim is to raise £12million this year. As the video I have posted at the bottom of this piece tells you, in the 1960s, when I was born, three out of four children with cancer didn’t survive, now three out of four do. That is an incredible achievement, but one in four of those children don’t survive and that’s one too many. We need to help raise funds to help Cancer Research UK’s work into beating childhood cancer. That’s where you come in.

On Wednesday evening (11th April) from 8pm – 9pm Kellie (@BigFashionista) and I, in association with TKMaxx and Tots100, will be asking Twitter users to tell us ‘What takes up too much room in your wardrobe?’ and I really hope you will join us.

Using the #Giveupclothes hashtag, we want to know what people will be clearing out of their wardrobe this spring – and why. We’ll have fashion expert Natalie Goodman, senior style editor at InStyle magazine, on hand to offer tips on what to buy, what to keep and what to get rid of as we throw off our winter woollies and expose our legs to the light. Throughout the party we’ll be giving away £250 (5 x £50 vouchers) in TKMaxx vouchers so people can snap up a bargain and freshen up their wardrobe.

To be in with a chance of winning, you must Tweet us your fashion tip or questions using the hashtag (#giveupclothes) between 8pm and 9pm.

Follow me @christinemosler, Kellie @BigFashionista @TKMaxx_UK and @CR_UK and that hashtag #Giveupclothes and tweet like billy-oh.

You are invited; please join me so I’m not standing in the corner cradling my wine glass, talking to myself!

This is why you need to help. Join in, help raise awareness, raise money and help children. Let’s make some noise!
