So, what’s special about the Optimum G2.3 Platinum Series Induction Blender and why would you want one? I already have the fabulous Optimum G2.1 blender so I was sceptical when I was asked to try this one on for size, but there are five particular features which really stand out.
- The brushless induction motor is much quieter than any high power blender I have used. I can carry on a conversation while the Optimum G2.3 is doing its thing, I can’t with the G2.1 or with any of the brands I’ve used when working in commercial kitchens. It’s not silent, by any means, but it is at a reasonable level for a family kitchen!
- The extra 1 litre rotating jug in addition to the standard 2 litre jug is just what I have always wanted in a blender! The 2 litre jug with its 6 blade assembly is perfect for large quantities of soup, for smoothies and for making nut milk but I very often want to blend smaller quantities. The 1 litre rotating jug is fabulous when I’m making hummus and cashew cream. The rotating blades (you rotate them yourself by twisting the top while the spinning blades in the bottom chop everything up) scrape everything down from the sides of the jug and really help when I’m making thick blends. No more teeth grinding for me when I have to keep stopping to push badly behaved chickpeas down into the blender! Both jugs are BPA free.
- The specially designed spatula – a spatula which has been specifically designed for the shape of a blender and to get under those blades! No chickpea can hide from me now!
- The LED touch screen control panel is elegant and simple. It features 5 pre programmed settings and allows me to go off piste with some fine tuned manual functionality too! The pre programmed settings are for Smoothies, Sorbets, Vegetables and Fruit, Soups and Grind for nuts, grains and seeds. The soup setting runs for 8 minutes at the end of which you will have a hot steaming soup to serve – I still find this a bit miraculous! I like that there are no buttons or switches on the control panel, it makes it a breeze to clean.
The Optimum G2.3 Platinum Series Induction Blender also comes with a heavy duty tamper tool for the 2 litre jug to push things down with, a nut milk bag, user’s manual and a recipe booklet. It has a 30 day money back guarantee including return postage and as a Froothie owner you have access to an expert support team 24/7 helping you to get the most from your blender. The Optimum G2.3 Platinum Series Induction Blender comes in four colours and with a Lifetime Motor Warranty and a 5 Year Warranty on Parts for domestic use – which is quite something, isn’t it?!
The Optimum G2.3 Platinum Series Induction Blender is currently on offer at Β£379 and as an ambassador (and because I love my readers) I can offer you free delivery on any Froothie appliance if you buy via Thinly Spread. Simply add 3436 FREE AMBASSADOR DELIVERY in the comments box and delivery will be credited back onto your card.
You can see the small jug in action in my latest YouTube video, I used it to whizz up my falafel mixture and it did an excellent job! I have another video which is going live this weekend where you can see me making soup in the 2 litre jug for Valentine’s Day and I have lots more recipes using the Optimum heading your way shortly to help you Jumpstart 2017!
So – would you like an Optimum G2.3 Platinum Series Induction Blender on your kitchen work surface? Of course you would!

Hi Chris,
Given that you’ve used both the Optimum G2.1 as well as the G2.3. How do they compare against each other, blending results wise? Will the G2.3 achieve the same smooth results as the G2.1 when making a smoothie containing touch veggies (Kale and the likes)? I don’t care if it takes a little longer as long as the results are good.
Can’t make my mind up between the G2.1 and G2.3….
Hi Ben – I’ve only made a few smoothies in the G2.3 so far but I’ve been just as impressed as I was with the G2.1 – it does take marginally longer but I’d be hard pressed to say that made a difference really. I have noticed when making soups that they aren’t as ‘whipped’ with the G2.3 but I actually think that’s a bonus – the soup from the G2.1 almost has a head on it (like a pint of beer, not as in a person’s head!). I make a lot of cashew cream and it is just as smooth and creamy with the G2.3 so I think that’s the best test really. If I had to choose between them I would definitely go for the G2.3 as that extra jug is VERY useful if you do a lot of blending and cooking. Hope that helps! Do use my affiliate link to get that free delivery when you make your mind up!
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your quick reply. Made the decision much easier. Ordered the 2.3, unfortunately not using your affiliate link as Froothie UK does not ship directly to mainland Europe. Had to go through another UK seller which in turn also gets their products from Froothie UK but does ship internationally. Bit more expensive but still so much better priced than here on the mainland.
