They are a fabulous way to recycle last year’s Christmas cards – I’m a terrible hoarder and I can’t bear to throw beautiful cards away!
Recycled Christmas Card Craft
Simply stick two cards together with glue (contrasting cards make lovely decorations as they twirl) and allow to dry.
Once dry draw around my template or create your own and draw around that.
Cut out and add glitter where needed.
Use a sharpie marker to draw on eyes and wings as required.
Use a hole punch to make a hole at the top of your robin.
Thread with twine or ribbon and hang.
These little robins make lovely bunting too. Thread them intermittently onto a long string, tying knots on either side of them so they don’t fly down the line to chatter to each other!
We made these beauties in 2010, I can’t believe we’ve been crafting and blogging for such a long time!
It is always a light relief to find that other people hang on to craft stuff like Christmas cards. I have…ahem…agood collection too. They do get used. Love this idea. They’d look so good tied to the label on a parcel too.
Joining in again. Difficult not showing current projects at this time of year. Instead I’ve opted for Christmas Past.
They would! I may do that too, thank you Cheryl!
What a GREAT idea, I love these and as an avid hoarder of old cards, I must get my scissors out! Karen
Hoorah! Thanks for popping by Karen, lovely to see you here! x
Love these! We have so many old cards could definitely do this so much nicer than just a square cut out. Thansk for the inspiration!
